Travel grants for students

Limited number of conference-sponsored Student Travel Grants are available. This funding is available only for full time students. Although student authors may be given priority for travel awards, this is not a requirement. Exceptional undergraduate research students and young post-doctoral researchers may also be considered for support on a case-by-case basis.

To apply for travel support, please do the followings:

1.Obtain a letter from your advisor/professor confirming that:

- You are currently a research student in good standing and working in areas related to mobile data management (see http://mdmconferences.org/mdm2017/index.html).

- You will be attending the entire IEEE MDM 2017 conference and associated events.

- The remainder of your travel support will be covered by other means (indicate how).

2.Write a personal statement describing your research interests, how you wish to benefit from attending MDM 2017. Indicate your student status and location you will be traveling from.

3.Create a single pdf file containing the above documents, along with your two-page CV and email it to ieeemdm2017@gmail.com with this subject "MDM 2017 student travel grant".

Please note that IEEE MDM conference may not be able to reimburse for all of your travel expenses due to limited budget. Eligible expenses for reimbursement include advance student registration, hotel, and transportation (flight, bus or train). Expenses that are not eligible for reimbursement include regular and/or on-site registration, taxi and meals. Student travel grants are available in the form of reimbursements that are sent only after the completion of the conference and receipt of all required documentation and receipts. The reimbursement amount will be based on the number of awards made and distance traveled.

Students receiving travel awards may be expected to volunteer at MDM2017. Such volunteer tasks will not interfere with attendance at conference sessions.
